May 2009 - Updating the website with news and new images is one of Jill's goals for this month. A recent trip to TeAnau has given us some fantastic landscape pictures. We have taken some wonderful soaring shots during the past summer season. With the rugby season upon us John will be spending as many homegames as possible here at Christchurch's AMI stadium. He will be on the sidelines with his press pass taking photos. Jill and the boys will be hitting the ski slopes this winter and we will be trying some skiing action shots too - watch the Recent Images gallery for a taste of this action.

McCaw Media is doing well. SoaringNZ is now over a year old and the technicalities of producing it are becoming routine. It has been receiving rave reviews and feedback and is widely acknowleged as the best soaring magazine in the world. For subscription information please email soaringnz@mccawmedia.co.nz

The McCaw name is becoming further cemented in the New Zealand gliding world with our son Alex achieving his Qualified Glider Pilot license, Gold height and Gold distance awards this past summer. We are very proud of him.

December 2007 sees the exciting launch of our website. It gives us a chance to show off our work, and particularly John's photographs to a much wider audience. We will be using it both as a portfolio and as a way to connect with the community. We will use the Recent Images folder to share pictures of events we have attended. We will be showcasing gliding events with the exciting Grand Prix in December sure to create many superb photo opportunities.

December also sees the inaugural issue of SoaringNZ.  Jill has won the contract to provide the official journal for GNZ, taking over the role that John Roake has held for many many years. It has been a marathon effort to meet the print deadlines for a December issue but it has been done and the first issue looks stunning. The second issue is already shaping up well.
